THED is an open, global network of Tourism and Hospitality educators supporting each other in furthering our learning and making sense of rapid changes in technologies for teaching and learning in the classroom.

· Research the use of social networking and Web 2.0 technologies popular with Generation Y
· Implement the use of these technologies within the classroom to engage learners
· Embed 'teach the teacher' mentoring across the Illawarra Institute to share learning Results
· Students AND teachers collaborating and becoming more engaged in their own learning and developing resources
· Students developing their own media to market their skills and knowledge and enhance their career prospects
· Greater use of social networking tools enabling alumini/ teacher relationships to feed into student's learning
· Growing numbers of teachers developing expertise and mentoring others within the T&H faculty
· Organisational shift in attitude in supporting and enabling teacher innovation for sustainability
· Growing open international network of Tourism and Hospitality practitioners sharing knowledge and expertise

This person will speak for 3 minutes on the topic and then be part of a broader discussion
The panel will be facilitated by an e-learning expert
We will advise you of the panel topic for your team by the end of next week
